Teaching and Learning at UWC

The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning at various universities has been prioritized.  This has gone a  long way in ensuring the the manner in which content is delivered across institution is linked not only to the student's needs and styles, but also increases (seamless) access to course content.

Since starting at UWC in 2007 my was always inquiring mind was always trying to develop innovative teaching and learning practices in the classroom. These thoughts have taken me on a journey of amazing discoveries about the pedagogical potentials and value of technology in the classroom. To this end, I have implemented many accessible learning activities in various classes. These include: Blogs, Wiki's, LMS tools such as Online assignments, Discussion Forums etc etc.

I now find myself in a space where I wonder what the impact of the new 'method' of teaching has on students'ability to retain the knowledge gained in the classroom. To this end, on this page I will be blogging about these thoughts as well as my new technologies used.
